Climb: ellingwood ridge of la plata peak (10mi, vertical 5000ft)
Tim and I hiked/scrambled to a talus field at about 12,000ft before being turned back by a drizzle. It was not a downpour, but it was enough to make us not want to spend four plus hours on a two mile long ridge of exposed class 3 to 5 rock.
It was a good recon mission...the route came into view. There will be another attempt soon.
